Right now, the ride tho Sollipulli was our last expedition ride into the Andes in the 2010/2011 season.
Sollipulli Volcano is a 2200 meter / 7220 feet high Vulcano north of Huerquehue National Park. It's considerd sleeping, means not active but either dead. The crater has a diameter of 4 kilometers / 13000 feet and is filled with a glacier 600 meter / 2000 feet thick .
In summer of 2011 after having explored a way up we did the first ascent on horseback. We got into the crater but could not completely cross, a goal we still have for next year.
